Midd-West outlasts Derry Decatur

In the Central Keystone’s second football game of the day, the Midd-West Mustang Pee Wees went up against Derry Decatur in the Liberty Bowl.
Midd-West looked strong from beginning to end as they picked up the victory 24-6 over the Cyclones.
After a scoreless first quarter that proved to be a strong defensive showing by both teams.
However, just two plays into the second quarter, the Mustangs got on the scoreboard first.
On third and long, Midd-West got the ball to Kyle Adams on an end around and he scored on a 20-yard jaunt into the end zone.
That would be the points either team would score going into the intermission at least that’s what Derry Decatur thought until Ethan Schlief found Kyle Adams on a 40-yard completion, ending the half with a 12-0.
Sklyer Black got the Mustangs back on the scoreboard early in the third as he ran up a 14-yard touchdown run, upping the lead to 18-0.
Derry Decatur got on the board with 1:39 left in the third when Michael kept the ball on a quarterback keeper, cutting it to 18-6.
Highlighting the scoring drive for Derry was a 60-yard run by Jacob Kratzer.
Going into the final stanza, Midd-West added an insurance score when Adams flew down the field for a 75-yard touchdown run, rounding out the scoring at 24-6.
