Belltown tops Juniata in Zimmerman Truckline Bowl

In the JVFL Pee Wee match up in the Zimmerman Truck Line Bowl, the Juniata Indians ran into a fired up Belltown team ready to make a statement on the grid iron.
The Bobcats did just that as they defeated the Indians 28-7.
Belltown won the coin toss and got its offense in gear right away, marching down the field on a 10-play drive.
Capping off the 10-play drive was Tanner Rhine.
Rhine got the ball and muscled his way in from 11-yards out for the game’s first score. With the successful PAT, the Bobcats jumped ahead 7-0.
After a fumble on the following kick off, Belltown was back in business and went in for the second time in the opening quarter. Parker Kearns found a wide open Derek Cavanaugh for the touchdown. Another PAT later, Belltown upped its lead to two touchdowns.
Two plays into Juniata’s first offensive possession, the Indians fumbled once again, giving the ball back one more time to Belltown.
One play later, Rhine got the nod once again and he scored from 14-yards out, taking a 21-0 advantage with 7:18 still showing on the second quarter clock.
As the half got close to a close, the Bobcats walked across the end zone line once again.
With no time left on the clock, Jesse Sherwood’s quarterback keeper, gave Belltown the 28-0 lead at the intermission.
Juniata battled back in the third, scoring its first and only touchdown as Camden Bargo found Taylor Smith in the back of the end zone, making it 28-7.
However, the Belltown defense was too much for Juniata on this night as the Bobcats went home with the 28-7 victory.
