Sechler announced as new MC cheerleading coach

The Mifflin County Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hiring of a new cheer coach for the 2017-2018 season. Tamara Sechler.
She is a graduate of LAHS, where she participated in cheerleading and track and field. Tamara continued her education at Penn State University, where she was privileged to be a member of the Women’s Track and Field team as she earned her Bachelors of Education in Mathematics. Since returning to Mifflin County, she has been employed as a computer/math teacher and has coached various levels of cheerleading and track and field. Most recently, she has been the jumps coach for the high school track team and the Juniata Valley Striders youth track program. Mrs. Sechler states, “I am excited to now take on the role of Head Coach for the MCHS Cheerleading program. I hope to help the cheerleaders strengthen school spirit and to prepare them to reach their full potential on the competitive side of the sport.” We are excited to add Tamara Sechler to our athletic department as the new cheerleading coach.
