They did it! MC 15s State Champs!!

BELLEVILLE – Mission accomplished.
Mid-Atlantic Regional here comes the Mifflin County 15-year old Pennsylvania state champions.
Let the celebration begin
In the battle of unbeatens, both teams showed the worthiness of being in the title game as they put on a memorable contest before Mifflin County exploded for seven runs in the sixth en route to the 12-8 victory.
Nothing has ever come easy for this year’s 15-year old Babe Ruth All-Stars, the team has had to make comebacks in three consecutive games and win an extra inning affair.
The have been battlers to the very end and in even in their championship against West End. The game was not a simple one.
Despite an early grand slam by Jacob Krepps to put the “boys in blue” ahead early on 5-1, West End showed why they were undefeated going into the title game too, coming back to take a 7-5 advantage going into the sixth.
But back came the “never say spirit of the Mifflin County team” that mounted yet another comeback to take the lead back at 12-7. Highlighting the inning was the Mifflin County runners loading the bases before West End could post an out. The result was a dramatic 7-run innings in front of the hometown fans.
But West End would have the last day as it batted in its final two at bats.
Early on MIfflin County and West End were knotted at one the end of the 2nd.
However, that lead changed thanks to the patience of Mifflin County batters and the power of Krepps
The grand slam from Krepps gave Mifflin County the 5-1 lead.
It’s onward to New York for the 15s.
