Juniata County School Districts Athletics announces new athletic websites

Juniata County School District Athletic Director Joe Skura released the web addresses of new athletics websites for East Juniata Junior/Senior High School and Juniata High School and Tuscarora Junior High School. The websites are linked from ScheduleStar, a scheduling tool for athletic directors, and will allow for coaches, parents, athletes, and fans to stay abreast on updates and schedules of their favorite athletic events at the schools.

East Juanita’s website is ejhstigers.com while Juanita’s website is jhsindians.com. Fans can download an App through Big Teams that will allow them to follow their favorite teams at the schools, sign up for updates and notifications to come to cell phones and devices, and be aware of any significant changes.

“I appreciate the support of the JCSD administration in allowing me to use ScheduleStar,” said Skura. “This will allow for us to communicate much more easily with all who follow the Tigers and the Indians, and provide everyone with a single site to find everything they need.”

Skura noted that schedules are in the system for the fall and winter sports of 2017-2018 and he is currently working on entering the spring sports and next year’s schedules so they are readily available on the sites. Both sites also have pictures, many provided courtesy of the Lewistown Sentinel, of the athletic teams.

“We want to get the word out to fans to try and get the Big Teams App on your Smartphone so that they may follow their school’s athletics and their school’s team,” Skura noted. “This will be a great tool for communication within our district’s athletic department.”
