Mifflin County volleyball notched first win in dramatic fashion

LEWISTOWN – It was a great night for the Mifflin County girls volleyball team as they picked up their first win of the season.
All season long the Huskies were close to pulling off some games and tonight they “aced” it.
Mifflin County took the match in exciting fashion 25-22,18-25,26-24, 25-20 and 15-9.
MC JV also took its match from Red Land in two sets as well 25-15, 25-16.
MC Varsity won their first match of the season against Red Land in 5 hard fought sets.
Leading the team with stats across the board was middle hitter junior Madison Tate with two aces, five kills, one block and one dig.
Sophomore middle hitter Kiana Sechler was huge at the net tonight with nine kills and four blocks.
Sophomore libero Mackenzie DeArment had 11 digs, three kills and two aces.
Senior Serena McConaughey shined as an all-around player tonight contributing two aces, seven kills, one assist and one dig.
Senior Alicia Berryman was strong setting with 23 assists as well as contributing four ace points and one kill.
Jade Morningstar was strong at the net with four kills and Olivia Wagner and Gianna Hoppel each contributed one kill
