Alert: New interim coach named for MC football

Interim Football Coach Press Release

The Mifflin County School District has named Scot Sechler as the interim head football coach for the Huskies for the remainder of the season. The current coaching staff will continue to help Coach Sechler complete the season. We are fortunate Coach Sechler and the assistant coaches have agreed to step up and complete the season for our football players. He is a positive role model and is well respected by the community.

Coach Sechler is a long-time track and field coach in the Mifflin County School District and has served on this year’s staff as the running backs coach.

Coach Sechler was an assistant junior high football coach at Indian Valley and served as an assistant coach at Mifflin County before taking over the reigns as the Boys Track and Field Head Coach.

Coach Sechler is a 1992 graduate of Indian Valley High School where he participated in football and both indoor and outdoor track. He graduated from Penn State in 1997 with a B.S. in Exercise Science. While there he was a member of the indoor and outdoor track and field teams participating in the sprints and relays.
Coach Sechler resides in Derry Township with his wife, Tamara and his three children, Malik, Kiana, and Josiah.
