Huskies win again. 2-for-2 in last two weeks

Two for two.
For the second week in a row, the Mifflin County high school football teams continues to show the heart and soul of a champion as they picked up win number on the season by defeating Big Springs 35-13 on the road.
This time, the Huskies has to comeback after trailing 13-7 from there they exploded for 28 unanswered points.
After Big Springs led 6-0 going into the second quarter running back Gage Schaeffer broke free and blazed his way for a 20-yard TD run. With the successful PAT, the Huskies led 7-6 with 10:10 left in the half.
Big Spring battled back to take the lead 13-6 as the clock was ticking down in the second quarter.
But there was enough time for the rejuvenated offense of the “Purple and Black attack” as it rumbled down to the 17.
From there Kross Todaro and his offensive line took care of things, scoring from 17 yards out with 1:16 left until the intermission.
Mifflin County looked to take the momentum and the lead into halftime, 14-14.
However, Mifflin County wouldn’t be done quite yet as the Huskies’ got the ball back on a turnover and scored one more time before the half.
Noah Wright capped things off as he hooked up with Todaro on a 47-yd pass with the successful PAT with 21.6 left, MC led 21-13.
For good measures, Mifflin County added some insurance points in the third.
Schaeffer blew down the field on a 69-yd run just seconds into the quarter, MC now took a 28-13 advantage with 11:39 left in the third.
Schaeffer rounded out the scoring as he would score minutes later on a 3-yard run with a successful kick, making it 35-13 with still 7:39 showing.
From there, the Mifflin County defense continued to dominate and keep Big Springs off the board.
That would be all that Mifflin County would need as it picked up its second win off the season, 35-13.
