FOUR Red Raiders sign National Letters of Intent

Bellefonte Red Raider senior student-athletes sign their letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level. Gabbie Pighetti, Goalie for the girls’ soccer team, will leave the state of Pennsylvania and head north to Rochester, NY to pursue her career goal entering a six year physical therapy program while playing soccer for the Golden Flyers of Nazareth College. Cross Country team member Brett Pope will run just down the road for the Bald Eagles of Lock Haven University. Brett will run for both the cross country and track and field teams while pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. Rianna Trexler will circle the campus of Messiah joining the Falcon’s softball team and majoring in Criminal Justice. Softballer Alexis Wetzler will be going just a short distance away joining the Huskies of Bloomsburg University majoring in Psychology.
Today, Monday, November 13, 2017 a celebration was held in the Bellefonte Area High School Cafeteria with family, friends, coaches, and teammates to honor these four Red Raiders. The Athletic Department sends a great deal of appreciation to each of them and their families for their dedication to their academics and the Red Raider athletic programs.
