Penns Valley girls take it to Huntingdon
The Penns Valley girls basketball team improved to 7-2 Friday after defeating Huntingdon 57-26.
Leading the offensive attack for the Rams was Hannah Montminy with a game-high 18 points.
Teammate Bella Culver followed with 17.
The game started out as a close one with the Rams taking an 11-9 advantage after one.
Penns Valley exploded offensively for 22 while its defense held the Bearcats to only eight points, giving the Rams a 33-17 halftime lead.
Coming out of the break, the Rams continued to score posting 18 more in the third and its defense once again held the Bearcats to single-digit scoring at eight.
Holding a big lead going into the final period, Penns Valley ended its game holding Huntingdon to only three points while its offense cruised with six en route to the victory.
