Mifflin County girls get back in the win column

The Mifflin County battled their way back into the win column as they defeated Chambersburg on Monday, 44-29.

Leading the charge on offense for the Lady Huskies was Mya Aumiller with nine while teammates Molly Wagoner and Brianna Bodtorf with eight.

Bre’ya Clopper finished with a game-high 11 points for Chambersburg.

In the first quarter, the Lady Huskies jumped out to a 12-6 lead.

Leading the way was Aumiller with three.

Mifflin County continued to roll as it scored 12 while holding Chambersburg to five.

When the two went into the intermission, Mifflin County led 24-11.

Chambersburg outscored the Lady Huskies 10-8 in the third.

But Mifflin County clinched the win as it outscored the visitors 12-8 in the final period was enough to secure the victory.
