East Juniata FH dominates Southern Huntingdon 9-0

Pure domination!

The East Juniata field hockey team had it all working Thursday in its 9-0 victory over Southern Huntingdon.

In the first half,

EJs Karah Goss scores off an Alyssa Stroup pass at 26:57.

Goss made it a quick two scores as she picked up a her second of the night via an assist by Karli Owens at 18:47.

Up next it was Kyli Dowling’s turn. She got the assist from Kaylyn Walters at 13:09

Dowling off a Walters’ pass and blasted a Corner to end the half 0:00.

In the second half, EJ’s Dowling scored off a pass by Goss at 29:00, Goss and Dowling hooked up again at 26:57.

The Goss from Dowling connection hit again at 22:45.

Karli Owens posted an unassisted goal at 18:42.

Rounding out the victory was Owens goal from a pass from Stroup at 7:57.

The Lady Tigers outshot EJ 16-1   and led in corners at 13-0.

In the save department,  EJ’s Emily Carolus has one save. Southern Huntingdon’s  Rachel Overcash has seven.

EJ’s Overall record is 2-13-1, and posts a TVL League record of 0-8.  

Our next game is Monday when we host Midd West at 4:00for our Pink Out game.

The girls did great tonight!  Things came together, and they played well the whole game.  We need to work on finishing our corners, but the girls were passing and all working together,” said East Juniata Coach Harley Straub.   “Kyli Dowling, Karli Owens, and Karah Goss all scored multiple goals each and had assists.  It was a great way to honor our seniors tonight.  I am so proud of them and how they played!  We look to continue for our last two games.
