Bald Eagle girls defeat Tyrone and Mother Nature in 2-1 thriller

Despite bad playing conditions, the Bald Eagle Area girls gutted out a close game, winning 2-1 over Tyrone.

The Eagles led in shots on goals 9-6.

BEA goalie Rachel Veneziano had five saves.

“The girls played great tonight despite the muddy conditions. They never quit. Everyone on the field hustled and earned this win but Addie was outstanding tonight,” said Bald Eagle coach Jared Moore said. “Rachel also made some excellent saves in goal stopping some really tough shots. She came up big when we needed her.”

Tyrone’s R. D’Angelo led off the game scoring in the 7th minute.

Bald Eagle Area’s Addison Proctor from a pass from Zoey McHenry tied the game in the13th minute, Falen McHenry added the winning goal late thanks to an Addison Proctor pass in the 77th minute.
