Bald Eagle girls keep rolling; posts nine goals in win

It was an offensive explosion for the Bald Eagle girls soccer team blasted nine goals en route to the 9-0 shut out of Tyrone.

What a great senior night. We got contributions all throughout the team. What a great evening to recognize our seniors and 5 different seniors scored goals. I’m so proud of how the girls have been playing this season. The defense was great tonight and the offense played very smooth tonight. We were really clicking tonight,” said Bald Eagle Coach Jared Moore. “Zoey McHenry scored a hat trick and had a couple of nice assists this evening. Her leadership on the field has been such an asset to us. Great team performance this evening. I couldn’t be prouder of the girls.”

 Zoey McHenry finished with a hat trick in the victory.

Offensively, Bald Eagle outshot Tyrone 19-6.

The Lady Eagles goalie Rachel Veneziano tallied six saves.

Addison Proctor posted the team’s first goal off a pass from Zoey McHenry :30.

Sophia Dimitratos was next when she got an assist by Proctor at 4:31.

Zoey McHenry scores the next three Lady Eagles goals on an unassisted goal at 29:39, one via an assist by Sierra Surovec at 45:40, and another Unassisted goal at 56:07.

Mara Hockenberry notched her first goal on an unassisted shot at 69:36.

Heather Leskovansky made it 7-0 on an assist by Mara Hockenberry at 72:30.

Sierra Surovec scores on a Falen McHenry pass at 73:15.

Emily Shiels rounded out the scoring thanks to a McHenry pass at 79:55.

Bald Eagle improves to 15-0-1 Overall and 11-0-1 Mountain League.

           Next Game: BEA travels to PO October 15th.
