Bald Eagle outlasts Juniata In season finale

COCOLAMUS – In their final game of the season, the Bald Eagle Baseball team met up with Juniata at East Juniata High school.

In the end, BEA outlasted Juniata 12-8.

Winning Pitcher on the night was Dylan Bisel.

He was relieved by Nick Maynard and Noah Williamson.

Bisel finished with four Strikeouts and a walk.

Maynard Collected seven strikeouts and two walks.

Rounding out the Eagle pitchers was Williamson with no strikeouts or walks.

The Losing Pitcher for Juniata was Devon Nealman. Juniata Pitcher Nealman finished with Strike outs and no walks.

Teammate Logan Kehler cane in in relief finishing with 2 strike outs and a walk.

BEA top hitters were Jaden Jones(triple), Matt Reese(double and home run), Dylan Bisel(Home run, single), Tommy Snyder(double and two singles), Noah Williamson(three doubles), Myles Stover-(double, single) and Shane Seeger(two singles).

Bald Eagle Batters with Multiple Hits were M. Reese (2-for-5), D. Bisel(2-for-4), T. Snyder (2-for-5), N. Williamson (2-for-4) and M. Stover(2-for-4).

 Juniata Batters with Multiple Hits were Jamie Bailer(3-for-3), Nealman (2-for-3) and Nathan Berry (2-for-3).

“Give credit to Bald Eagle.  They pounded out 16 hits and didn’t leave many runners on base,” said Juniata coach Nick Beward. “We, on the other hand, left entirely too many guys stranded.  We had one bad inning defensively, which was the difference maker.”

Bald Eagle started the game off scoring a run in the top of the first.

However, the Indians battled back to score two in the bottom of the inning.

But the Bald Eagle bats were just warming up as it scored two more in the second while holding Juniata scoreless.

Both teams went scoreless in the third.

In the fourth, both teams added a run setting the stage for the fifth.

In the fifth, the Eagles exploded for six runs and managed to hold off a late run by the Indians, taking home the 12-8 victory.
