Clean Sweep; MC Junior High girls top West Perry for second time

Clean sweep.

The MCJH Girls soccer battled West Perry once again and like the first meeting, the Lady Huskies pulled out the victory.

It was one of the closer contests for the undefeated team, posting a 4-1 victory. 

Varsity

The MCJH Varsity team outshot West Perry 19-9. MC’s goalie Bailey McNitt captured eight.

Mifflin County led in Corner opportunities by a 1-0 margin.

Aubrey Strohecker scored first on an assist from Ella kammerer at 12:00.

Less than six minutes later Strohecker thanks to a pass from Brynn Knepp at 17:47.

Knepp posted the third goal for Mifflin County as she got an assist from Aubrey strohecker at 29:21.

Rounding out the Mifflin County scoring was Knepp once again to capture her second goal from Strohecker at 43:05.

In the JV Game, Mifflin County and West Perry tied at one.

The Huskies tallied four Shots on goal and Paige Shugarts and Summer Shuey combined with five saves.

MC’s lone goal came from Sadie Fike from Mia Rhodes 17:09.
