East Juniata boys and Juniata finish in tie

EJ Boys tied Juniata 2-2 in a hard fought, well-played game Tuesday night at Dietrick Field. Juniata grabbed the early lead with 27:39 remaining in the first half when Tad Shellenberger broke free and found the back of the net. With 24:05 left in the second half, EJ found the equalizer when Cade Brubaker converted a penalty kick. Tad Shellenberger put Juniata back in-front with 8:00 left in the second half converting a penalty kick of his own. EJ bounced back a second time when Tyler Feltman scored off an assist from Trent Watts. Despite faced-paced play, neither team was able to find the net in either overtime period. Juniata out shot EJ 13-12. Mike Ryan had 11 saves for EJ and Johnny Dessin had 10 saves for Juniata. EJ had the advantage in corner kicks, 5 to 1.
