East Juniata girls post 12 goals against Upper Dauphin

The East Juniata Girls soccer team continues its tear through the Tri-Valley League, defeating Upper Dauphin 12-0.

“It Better game tonight, we moved the ball around with pace and had some spark in us,” said East Juniata coach Valeria Dressler. “We still need to clean up touches and be more technical.”

Two Lady Tigers finished with hat tricks. Leah Sankey and Kierstyn Fogle both notched the accomplishment.

Sankey got things started as she was assisted by Thea Neimond 30 seconds in.

Amara Brubaker posted her team’s second goal as she was assisted by Madison McDonald at 2:36.

Fogle then hit a blast thanks to an assist by Amara Brubaker at 12:43.

Five minutes later, Fogle hit her next goal on an assist by Madison McDonald at 17:43.

Fogle then posted an unassisted goal at 34:01.

Sankey increased the lead to 6-0 thanks to an unassisted shot at 42:50.

Sankey’s next goal came three minutes later as she was assisted by Marisa Coudriet at 45:50.

McDonald kept the ball rolling posting an unassisted goal at 47:56.

Sankey posted her hat trick on an unassisted goal at 56:32.

10) Hailey Wileman followed with another unassisted goal, this one was at 61:30.

Just two ticks later, Marin Varner posted another unassisted goal at 61:32

Rounding out the final score was Macey Buskey as she was assisted by Madison Arnold at 69:30.

Shots on goal were led by the Lady Tigers by a 16-2 margin.

Corner Kicks were also led by East Juniata by a 5-0 margin.

East Juniata goalie Brianna Henry had two saves.

The Tigers improve to to a record of 7-0-0 and a Tri-Valley League record of 4-0.

 Next game for EJ is Wednesday September 20, against Lindon Hall.
