EJ boys second half launches them to win over Line Mountain

The East Juniata boys basketball team picked an Saturday afternoon victory against Tri-Valley League foe, Line Mountain 46-41.

East Juniata was led in scoring by Wayne Dressler’s game high 22 and Xavier Clement’s nine.

Line Mountain got strong performances by Nick Williams with 16 and Breven Derk sporting 13.

After being outscored in the first and second quarter’s by a 23-16 margin, the Tigers came roaring back in the second half led by Wayne Dressler’s 10-point third quarter. Dressler outscored the entire Line Mountain team 10-6 en route to the Tigers’ 14-point stanza.

With the eight point turnaround, East Juniata took the lead 30-29.

In the fourth, East Juniata kept it going as Dressler again had the hot hand in the Tigers’ 16-point quarter.

Like in the third, Dressler posted 10. 

Line Mountain could only muster 12 as the Tigers’ cashed in the victory.

In JV action, the Tigers we just as successful winning 30-21. Leading score for East Juniata was Gannon Ryan with 11.
