Flashback: Baulblitz leads strong BVI performance for Juniata

The Juniata High School cross country team competed at the Big Valley Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, September 1 in Reedsville, PA.  In the boys varsity race, junior Garrett Baublitz held off some state level competition winning the overall in class A, AA, AAA.  His time was 16:21.  Clay Yeager also medaled in the boys AA race by placing 13th with a time of 18:25.  The boys placed 4th out of 9 teams in the AA race.
In the girls AA varsity race, freshman Emily Houtz medaled by placing 9th with a time of 22:18. The girls did not have a fifth runner to score as a team.  Juniata will race again on Saturday, September 15th at the Ben Bloser Cross Country Invitational at Big Springs High School in Newville, PA.
