Grace Prep boys blanks Calvary Christian

GRACE PREP BOYS SOCCER RESULTS

The Grace Prep boys soccer team’s offense struck early and often as it blanked Calvary Christian 7-0. 

In the 1st Half, Prep got its first goal 

In the 31st minute when Jesse Cogner hit an unassisted goal to put his team on the board. 

In 32nd minute teammate Jake Cannizzaro gave his team a 2-0 advantage going into the intermission.

In the 2nd half, the Grace Prep scoring continued.

In the 42nd minute,  Noah Harris put his name in the scoring column with a goal, upping it to 3-0.

In the 55th minute,  Khoa Nguyen added another goal putting a little distance between the two teams. 

In 63rd minute,  George Rusinque hit the first of his three goals to make it a very secure 5-0 contest.

In 69th minute, Rusinque added another. 

In the 79th minute, Rusinque picked up the hat trick, rounding out the 7-0 contest. 

In the Shots on Goal department, Grace Prep outshot Calvary 15 – 1. 

Grace Prep also dominated Corner Kicks by an 8-1 margin.

Game Notes:  The first half was a poorly executed fundamentals on both teams as multiple passes, soft touches and decision-making were erratic.   Calvary Christian was able to disrupt the front line in the box very well.  The second half proved to be a better executed game of fundamentals. Grace Prep recorded it’s six header goal with Jake Cannizzaro. And George Rusingue  recorded a hat trick!
