Juniata cross country is impressive in Tri-Meet

Juniata Cross Country Team had a Tri meet at Susquenita High School on Thursday, September 20.  The meet was originally scheduled for Tuesday, September 18, but was rescheduled due to the weather.  Susquenita won the boys meet scoring 22 point to Juniata’s 33 points.  Juniata beat Newport by a score of 15 to 55.  Leading the Indians was Zeb Ames who took 3rd place overall with a time of 22:17. Also scoring for the Indians were Isaak Fausey 6th place 23:02, Albert Heister 7th place 23:08, Clay Yeager 8th place 23:08, and Garret Baublitz 9th place 23:09. Emily Houtz won the girls race with a time of 25:59.  The girls did not have enough to score as a team.  Also competing for the girls was Katrina Weber placing 11th with a time of 40:56.  Juniata will be competing on Saturday at the PIAA Foundation Invitational which is held in Hershey on the State Championship Cross Country Course.
