Juniata girls improve to 4-1; drops Susquenita

Juniata with the win 3-1

The Juniata girls soccer team improved to 4-1 on the season, defeating Susquenita 3-1.

The first goal of the game was launched from outside the 18 by Katie Martin with 20:20 left in the first. (no assist).

Susquenita came back and tied it off a Penalty Kick from Gabby Kichman.

In the second half Megan Brubaker knocked one to the back of the net among the confusion of players in the box, at the 29:43 mark

And Megan Brubaker found the back of the net again just 2 minutes later at the 27:45 mark.

Juniata dominated on shots on goal by a 23-9 margin and also led 7-3 on corners.

The Indians goalie Kali Foltz finished with eight.

Juniata travels to Altoona Saturday 9/15 for a tournament.First game is at 1:00 against Hollidaysburg and again at 5:00 vs. State College.

Overall, record is 4-1
