Girls action

The Juniata boys and girls track and field team battled cross county rival East Juniata Tuesday.

In the end, the Indians dominated in both boy and girls action.

The girls brought home a 117-32 victory while the boys won 127-23.

On the girls’ side, the Indians took the 4×800 with a time of 11:05.1.

East Juniata’s Anna Stroup took the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.1. Stroup also took home the win in the 300-meter hurdles with a finishing time of 55.1.

In the 100-meter dash, the Lady Indians won again as Nylah Pannebaker took top honors with a 13.87.

East Juniata long distance runner Emily Wert took the 1600-meter run with a 6:22.6.

The Indians were strong in the relays, taking the 4×100 with a time of 53.1.

Thea Neimond gave the Tigers another win in the track with a first place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:45.8.

In the 400, Kierstyn Fogle gave East Juniata another win, posting a 1:05.3.

Juniata battled back and took the 200-meter dash when Ashlyn Pannebaker finished with a best time of 29.2.

Juniata captures the 3200-meter run when Carli Walters finished with a 15:11.6.

The Lady Tigers took the final relay, winning in the 4×800 with a time of 4:51.6.

In the field events, the Indians took charge.

However, Juniata took the pole vault when Jasmine Hockenberry won with a jump of 7’ 0”

Megan Brubaker finished first in the long jump and triple jump for the Indians with leaps of 16’ 1/4” and 35’ 1”, respectively.

Malin Kint took care of the shot put with a throw of 30’ 10”.

Madi Beward continued the Indians winning streak finishing in the top spot in discus with a toss of 94’1 1/2” while East Juniata’s Clayre Guyer won the javelin.
