Juniata lights up Huntingdon in first round of D6 playoffs
The Juniata Indians girls soccer team started their quest for a District 6 title on a strong note defeating Huntingdon 3-0 in the 1st round of the District 6 playoffs Wednesday night at Juniata College.
Juniata scores first at 36:37 when Ashlyn Pannebaker received a pass from her sister Nylah Pannebaker and took off to goal 1v1 with the keeper and got a shot off.
Liseth Montoya scores the Indians’ second goal at 23:25 when she hit a shot from the left corner of the top of the 18 going back post.
Rounding out the scoring at 8:26 was Katey Martin. She received a pass from Nylah Pannebaker and drove a low shot to the left corner, ending the scoring at 3-0.
Hailey Kepner had 10 saves and faced 13 shots on goal.
