Juniata track sweeps Upper Dauphin
Juniata with the sweep!
In track action Tuesday, the Juniata track and field team swept Upper Dauphin.
The girls won their match up 100-50 while the boys won 104-46.
On the girls side, the Indians numerous wins in individual action.
Anna Stroup won the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles with times of 18.1 and 50.8.
Zoe Burns also took two events as well posting a top time of 13:48 in the 100-meter dash and a 28.4 in the 200-meter dash.
In the field events, Megan Brubaker win the long, triple and high jump with a 16” 5 3/4”, 35’ and 4’ 8” jumps, respectively.
Rounding out the first place finishes was Julie Hart in the shot put with a throw of 29’ 5 1/2”.
On the boys’ side, Juniata started with winning the 4×800-meter relay with a time of 8:56.4.
Will Tyson picked up firsts in the 110-meter hurdles and the 300-hurdles with times of 16.7 and 42.7, respectively.
Long distance runner Garrett Baulblitz took top honors in the 1600-meter relay with a mark of 4:34. He also took the 3200-meter run with a finishing time of 10:58.
He rounded his day with a first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:14.
Jeremiah Parson took the 400-meter with a top mark of :54.6.
Tad Shellenberger won the 200-meter dash with a mark of 25.0.
Juniata also took the 4×400-meter relay with a finishing time of 3:52.5.
In the javelin, Juniata got a first from Barrett Walters with a throw of 154’.
Brayden Pannebaker won the long jump at 18’ 7 1/4”.
Teammate Scott Brosius took the triple at 38’ 8”.
Rounding things out, Jon Elliot won in the high jump with a leap of 5’8”.
