Lady Indians blast Halifax 8-0

After a dominating game against Palmyra Monday, the Juniata girls soccer team continued its dominating ways, defeating Halifax 8-0 Wednesday.

“We took awhile to find the back of the net but in the second half we really started connecting passes to feet and being active and moving off the ball being dynamic in our offensive half,” said Juniata coach Laresa Paden. “We made runs off the ball and possessed the ball very well tonight.”

Liseth Montoya finished the evening posting a hat trick.

Her teammates Victory Frantz and Ashlyn Pennabaker followed with two goals each.

Montoya posted her team’s first goal as she was assisted by Katey Martin.

Frantz notched her first goal next after an assist by Nylah Pennabaker.

Frantz posted goal number two next as she was assisted by Ashlyn Pennabaker.

Posting goal number four, Nylah Pennabaker notched an unassisted goal of her own.

Ashlyn Pennabaker got on the board next as she was assisted by Katey Martin.

Still pumping out the goals Goal Ashlyn Pennabaker off an assist by Victory Frantz, upped it to a 6-0 lead.

Montoya rounded out the game story posting the final two goals on  assists by Ashlyn Pennabaker and Nylah Pennabaker.
