Thursday night, there was quite a battle on the soccer field as the upstart Mifflin County Girls soccer team went toe-to-toe against Hershey.
In the end, the two teams ended the way it began, as a tie.
Mifflin County and Hershey both tallied a lone goal.
Hershey scores first when Anastasia Mitrovic picked up a pass by Abby Wilson and sent it home, at 11:03.
Late in the contest, MIfflin County’s Aubrey Strohecker slammed the tying goal at the 60:10 mark.
Hershey led in shots on goal by the slimmest of margins, 7-6.
Corner Kicks were also led by Hershey by a 13-0 margin.
Mifflin County’s goalie Bailey McNitt captured six saves while Hershey’s Alexis Moodie finished with five.
Mifflin County is 1-1-1 in the Mid-Penn and 2-2-1 overall.
Mifflin County’s next game is 9/14versus Upper Dauphin.
In JV action, Hershey won 6-1.
