Mifflin County swimmers sweep Bellefonte and PV
With a group of young swimmers, the Mifflin County Huskies are quickly maturing and are looking to take the next step in the maturation process.
They took a huge one Friday as both the boys and the girls team swept Bellefonte.
The girls also battled Penns Valley and came out victorious as well.
This meet was a double dual for the girls team between Bellefonte and Penns Valley.
For the boys team it was just a regular dual meet between Bellefonte and MC.
The MIfflin County girls took a 56-32 win over Penns Valley and a
close 49-45 win over the Red Raiders.
In Boys action, the Huskies took care of Bellefonte 42-32.
Place finishers for the girls were
The Girls 200 Medley Relay team who took 2nd place. The team Consisted of Ella Stuck, Hannah Bonson, Macy Becker, and Morgan Robinette with a time of 2:05.88
In the Girls 200 free,
A 2nd place nod was given to Morgan Robinette with a time of 2:17.03 (district qualifying time)
Coming in 3rd was Grace Parks with a time of 2:48.22.
In the Girls 200 IM, Ella Stuck finished with a time of 2:35.11, while placing third.
In the Boys 200 IM, Ethan Andrews got the top nod with a time of 2:17.89.
In the Girls 50 free, a 3rd place finish by Macy Becker was a time of 28.00.
The Boys 50 free saw Mifflin County pick up a 3rd place by Calvin Ivie with a time of 29.53.
While in the Girls 100 fly, Hannah Bonson finished second with a time of 1:08.16 (district qualifying time)
While in the Boys 100 fly, Mifflin County got a 1st place finish by Ethan Andrews posting a time of 1:03.58.
In the Girls 100 free, Robinette topped the leaderboard with a time of 1:01.63.
A new name in the Boys 100 free captured a 3rd place. Adam Clemson finished with a time of 1:08.59.
In the Ironman of all swimming events, the Girls 500 free
Macy Becker took top honors with a time of 6:28.66 (district qualifying time).
Teammate Julia Montgomery finished second with a time of 7:09.33.
Girls 200 free relay
3rd place- team of Madeline Baisey, Grace Parks, Jordyn Kile, and Julia Montgomery with a time of 2:08.43.
The Girls 100 backstroke had a Husky taking the top honors.
Stuck cane in with a time of 1:11.28.
In the Boys 100 back,
Clemson took second with a time of 1:26.91.
In the Girls 100 breaststroke,
2nd place was given to Hannah Bonson as she finished with a time of 1:16.19.
Mifflin County also took the Boys 100 breaststroke.
Ethan Patkalitsky with a time of 1:43.15 placed first.
In the Girls 400 free relay saw a 2nd place finish. The team of Macy Becker, Ella Stuck, Morgan Robinette and Hannah Bonson finished with a time of 4:10.64.
In the Boys 400 free relay,
Mifflin County took 1st place. The team consisted of Ethan Andrews, Ethan Patkalitsky, Adam Clemson, and Calvin Ivie with a time of 4:54.62.
