Mount Union bats flourish in win over Mo Valley

Bring out the bats!

The Mount Union baseball team made it an easy night scoring 17 runs in a 5-inning shortened contest.

Grayson McClain picked up the victory for Mount Union as he went the full five, allowing six hits, striking out five and allowed four runs.

Matt Harshbarger led the Trojans bats with a 3-for-5 effort.

Also picking up multiple hit efforts were Dylan Gearhart (2-for-4, RBI), Quinnten Fultz (2-for-2).

Mount Union blew it up in the top of the first starting with a 5-run inning.

Moshannon Valley rallied back with one in the bottom of the inning.

The Trojans were back at it in the second with one more run.

Another offensive explosion happened for Mount Union in the third, posting seven more in the third while Mo Valley picked up three.

However, the Trojans ended the scoring plating four in the fourth and then held Mo Valley in the final two at bats for the victory.
