Penns Valley girls soccer team reaches .500 mark

Back to .500.

The Penns Valley girls soccer team reached the 4-4 mark on the season as it defeated  Clearfield Thursday 5-0.

Tonight was probably our best overall performance of the season.  The girls have worked hard and we’ve changed a few things around but they put together two strong halves and came away with a great win.  Katie Martell, Hannah Montminy and Nikki Denger were dangerous all night in our attack.  Hannah Denger, Bekah Gillespie, and Kylie Auman were solid all game for us in defense.  Tonight we put it all together and were able to win against a tough Clearfield team that has a number of strong, young players,” said Rams coach Andrew Beverly. “Now we have to rest up and try to keep it all going against a strong Lewisburg team on Saturday.”
