Penns Valley slips past Juniata in baseball action

The Penns Valley boys baseball team made the most of their opportunities Friday night as they defeated Juniata in nail biting fashion 1-0.

The Indians Achilles heel was three miscues in the loss.

Penns Valley picked up a run in the first inning and held tight as pitcher Logan Snyder scattered three hits throughout to hold onto the victory.

Winning Pitcher  was Logan Snyder while the Losing Pitcher was Nathan Berry.

Berry struck out one and walked one while Snyder struck out four and had four walks.

Juniata’s Jamie Bailer went 2-for-2 for the only multiple Juniata hitter in the game.

Snyder went 2-for-3 for the Rams. He also had the game winning RBI.

“Nathan Berry pitched extremely well,” said Juniata coach NIc Beward. “It’s  a shame that we couldn’t come up with the clutch hit to give him the “W””
