PORT ROYAL, Pa- Port Royal Speedway returns Saturday July 20th with 4-H Night and our Salute to the Military Night featuring the Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars, the Grit House Rt. 35 Challenge Series for the Super Late Models and the PASS/IMCA Penns Valley Meat Market 305 Sprint Cars.

Military members and Veterans will receive free admission to the night’s racing activities. Valid ID’s being accepted will be United States Government/Geneva Convention Military ID card, Pennsylvania State license with Veterans designation and DD-214 Form.

It will also be Camera and Autograph night for fans where they will be allowed early access to the pits to see and interact with their favorite drivers. There will also be Kids Bus Rides occurring throughout the night and tickets will be available upon entrance.

Due to expected high temperatures, we will be moving gate openings back to 5:30 with racing beginning at 8pm EST in hopes of allowing the weather to cool down in the evening.

Pocono Speedway will also be on hand with the track pace car, their mascot and have various giveaways for fans throughout the night in preparation for next week’s Nascar race at the Speedway.

Logan Wagner enters this week’s 410 Sprint Car event with a 320-point lead over last week’s winner, Dylan Cisney. Lucas Wolfe currently sits in the 3rdposition 405 points back, however Wolfe will be out of action for the foreseeable future due to a back injury sustained last Sunday with the All Star Circuit of Champions at the Lebanon Valley Speedway.

Everybody with the Port Royal Speedway would like to wish him a speedy recovery and we hope to see him back soon.

Nick Dickson last picked up the feature win during the Grit House Route 35 Challenge Series Late Model action at the Speedway two weekends back. A large field of River Valley Builders Super Late Models are expected, along with Selinsgrove Speedway regulars vying for the Grit House championship.

Finally, the PASS/IMCA 305 Sprint Cars will return to the Speedway for their 5th visit of 2019. Devin Adams visited victory lane in their last race. Ken Duke and Jonathan Jones are currently tied at the top of the point standings with Zach Newlin in third, 85 points back.
