Bald Eagle rebounds; drops Bishop Carroll

On a misty and windy evening the varsity football team traveled to Ebensburg tonight to take on the Huskies from Bishop Carroll Catholic High School. Kaden Bittinger got the start at quarterback in place of injured Jaden Jones. Bittinger used his quick cutting ability and top notch speed to amass 240 yards rushing and all 4 Eagle touchdowns in a 29-6 victory . The BEA offensive line made up Austin Bomboy, David Close, Dylan Roberts, Asher Burkett, Caleb Burns, and Gage Watson imposed their will as the offense totaled 336 yards rushing on 40 carries. Defensively the Eagles hounded the Huskies quarterback, Hunter Dumm, forcing 2 first half interceptions by Kyler Cunningham and Ben Yetsko, and a plethora of tackles for loss. The final score of the evening was made by the defense when Tommy Snyder sacked Dumm for a safety with 1:42 left in the game. Next week the Eagles have their first home game of the season on the new Field Turf at Alumni Stadium. The Central Dragons are the opponent as they are coming off a loss this evening at Penns Valley.
