BEA tops PO; Rockey 3,000 assists

Tonight the Eagles wrapped up the regular season with a 3-1 win over the Mounties of Philipsburg-Osceola. Game scores were 24-26, 25-14, 25-7, and 25-17.

Madison Rockey became the first Eagle player to accumulate 3,000 assists in a career as she fished out 47 during the evening. Reaching a milestone like that is amazing at any level and is something everyone in the program is proud of.

The Eagles got a big offensive effort from Grace Hugar as she lead the Eagles with 24 kills tonight. Taylor Kilmer added 9 kills as well.

Defensively, Lexi Skripek’s 31 digs were tops while Katelyn Smitchco and Madison Rockey added four terminal blocks on the evening. Rockey also chipped in with three aces to top the Eagles individually at the service line.

The Eagles finish the season 16-0 and are the top seed in District 6. The next match will be Tuesday in the District 6 quarterfinals at BEA against the winner of the 8 vs 9 seed match Monday night.
