Bellefonte Tops Dubois
BELLEFONTE – They are on a roll.
The Bellefonte softball team had its bats working early and often against visiting DuBois.
After leading only 4-3 going into the fourth, the Lady Raiders rallied for five runs in the fourth, four runs in the fifth and a run in the sixth to take the contest in 10-run fashion, 14-4.
Lexi Rogers picked up the win as she went the distance allowing only four runs on four hits and striking out three.
Alexis Wetzler’s bat sizzled as she went 3-for-4 with three runs and 3RBIs., All three of Wetzler ‘s 3 hits were singles.
Teammate Mallorie Smith went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Smith had single and triple. Maddie Tice also has two hits as she finished 2-for-3 with a run and three RBIs.Tice had a Double and a Home Run.
Emma DeHaas also finished as a multi hitter as DeHaas finished the day with a single and double.
Bellefonte as a whole rapped out 13 hits in the contest while allowing only four.
Its defense was perfect on the diamond on this night, not committing any errors.
Bellefonte improves to 2-0 on the season.
