Bellefonte bats plate 32 in local tourney

Today the Bellefonte Softball program hosted the O’Leary Tournament held in honor or Johnny and Sparky O’Leary, long time supporters of Bellefonte Softball.
The 4 teams included Bellefonte, West Branch, Conemaugh Valley and Somerset.
Offensively, the Red Raiders bats blasted a total of 32 runs on the day en route to the title.
In the first contest, Bellefonte did battle with West Branch.
It would be another stellar performance by the Red Raiders offense that plated 15 in the 15-0 four-inning game.
Lexie Rogers was strong on the mound tossing just a one-hitter.
The Red Raiders got Multi-hit games from Rianna Trexler who finished with three singles. Rogers also finished with a single and a double. Kerr rounded out the multi-hitters posting a single, double.
It was a nine-run third inning that put Bellefonte on the road to the early victory.
 In the second contest of the tournament, Somerset defeated Conemaugh Valley to advance to meet Bellefonte in the title tilt.
In Championship Game Bellefonte Came our swinging against Somerset. 
When the dust settled, Bellefonte was once again the victors pulling out the 17-5 victory.
Alexis Wetzler led her team at the plate as she hit for the cycle, finishing with a single, double, triple and Home run.
Multi Hit games for Bellefonte were Mallorie Smith who hit a single and a double. Trexler followed with two singles as teammate Maddie Tice collected two singles and two doubles. Teammate Lissie Przybys tallied a single and a double while Rogers helped her own cause posting a single and two doubles. Hanna Lauck rounded out things with a single, double and triple.
