EJ field hockey blanks Muncy 4-0

It was a very great day for the East Juniata girls field hockey team Thursday as the Tigers notched a 4-0 victory over Muncy.

Getting the action going was East Juniata’s Kyli Dowling with an assist and an assist from Karli Owens 26:29.

“The girls played great tonight!  They started out a little sluggish, which may be from only having about 10-15 minutes to warm up before the game and the cold temperatures,” East Juniata Coach Harley Straub said. “They were able to break through in the first half and score a goal.  At halftime we made some changes and that started to get more offensive drive.  Four different girls had goals tonight, which is great to see.  The girls had great passing up and down the field, which is really nice to see.  The girls overall played tough and aggressive and I hope that continues the rest of the season.”

In Second Half, Bralynn Clouser started the scoring at the 18:05 mark.

Owens would pick up a score on a Laney Dowling kick 11:51.

Dowling rounded things out thanks to a pass by Clouser7:31.

The Tigers’ next game is today against Lewisburg at 4:00.  This is East Juniata’s pink out game.
