Huskies top Hollidaysburg as Smalley goes the distance

After falling to Red Lion Tuesday, the Mifflin County baseball team rebounded sharply in their game against Hollidaysburg Wednesday.

In the end, the Huskies picked up an 8-2 victory.

It was a near perfect game for Mifflin County Wednesday. Tyreen Smalley finished with a complete game and every starting player picking up a hit. 

Max Oburn And Colby Bodtorf led the way picking up three hits apiece.

Evan Smith, Evan Mock and Smalley all picked up two hits in the victory.

Hollidaysburg opened the scoring in the second, plating a run.

Mifflin County battled back to take the lead in the third, posting three runs.

Brando Souders singled to start things off in the inning. Oburn and Bodtorf followed with consecutive singles. He brought in Souders, tying the game.

With two out, Smith brought in both Oburn and Bodtorf with a 2-RBI single.

Mifflin County allowed just one more run in the contest while its offense added five more runs throughout in the win.

Smalley got the win as he went seven innings, allowing five hits, two runs and striking four.
