Juniata boys’ defense holds Line Mountain at bay

The Juniata boys basketball team picked up a convincing win Tuesday as they held Line Mountain to 20 points en route to the 39-20 Tri-Valley League victory.

Leading the way for Juniata was Bryson Clark and Devon Nealman with 11.

Line Mountain was paced by Tyler Bradley’s six points.

Juniata opening up the contest holding Line Mountain to just two points while its offense got off to a slow start but still managed seven points.

In the second, the scoring evened out as the Indians narrowly held the lead in scoring by a 9-8 margin.

However, as the team’s went into the intermission, Juniata held a 16-10 advantage.

Juniata started to distance itself by the end of the third quarter, posting a 10-5 advantage heading into the final stanza.

Holding onto a 26-15 advantage, the Indians made sure there would be no comeback, outscoring Line Mountain 13-5 in the fourth to bring home the victory.
