Juniata girls soccer tops Millersburg 5-2

In a make up contest on Saturday, the Juniata girls were ready and came out strong picking up a win over Millersburg 5-1.  

The Indians dominated on shots on goal with Juniata rallying for 25 and Millersburg had two. 

In Corner Kicks, Juniata finished with 11 while Millersburg was not able to get one. 

Juniata Keepers Kali Foltz and Olivia Laub had no saves and one save, respectively. 

Millersburg Keeper Ameilia Orr with finished with 20 saves. 

In the first half, the Indians notched three in the first. 

Makenzi Beward scored at 33:49, on an assist from Nylah Pannebaker, making it 1-0. 

Ashlyn Pannebaker scored her team’s second goal at 13:34, with an assist from Nylah Pannebaker. 

Liseth Montoya scored at 2:55, on an unassisted goal round out the first half scoring, 3-0.

In the second half, Juniata outscore Millersburg 2-1. 

Millersburg’s Hannah Morrison scored her team’s only goal at 39:00. 

Makenzi Beward scored at 31:43, assist from Katie Martin for the Indians first goal of the second half. 

Hailey Kepner scored at 18:25, assist from Nylah Pannebaker

finished out scoring. 

Juniata is currently 6-3 for the season, and in the TVL 4-0. 

Next game for the Indians is at Mifflin County 9/25 at 4:00.
