Juniata girls win again; tops Midd-West by 15

Juniata 50, Midd-West 35

Juniata continues to impress early as it once again picked up another strong win Wednesday as it topped Midd-West 50-35 in girls basketball action.

Leading the way offensively for the Lady Indians were Olivia Clark with a 14-point effort while teammate Mya Rush tallied 12.

Midd-West got nine from both Rylee Weaver and Bella Fave.

The Mustangs led off the first quarter with a 9-7 advantage.

Rush was the leading scorer for Juniata with three. She hit four triples on the evening.

Juniata’s offense took off in the second quarter outscoring Midd-West 18-8 and giving them the advantage going into the intermission at 25-17.

Offensively, the Lady Indians continued to take charge as they outscored the Mustangs 13-6 in the third quarter.

Juniata finished strong and picked up the victory as it shut things down on the Midd-West side posting a 12-12 tie and the 15-point decision.
