JV Hornets finish second in States

Congratulations to the Juniata Valley Hornets girls basketball team for finishing as PIAA State runner up in the Class A division.
The Hornets pushed Jenkinstown to the brink before the Drakes comeback that pushed the game into an overtime period.
In the extra period, the Lady Hornets weren’t able to pull out the win, falling 51-46.
Leading the Hornets in scoring were Sydney Reed with 17 and Halee Smith with 11.
The Hornets finished with a record of 26-3.
