Lower Dauphin gets the best of MC Girls soccer

Lower Dauphin posted an early three goal advantage over the Mifflin County girls.

The Last Huskies would cut it to 3-1 but it wouldn’t be enough as Mifflin County fell, 4-1.

Lower Dauphin got its first goal from Justyce Hollenbeck at 6:35.

Both defenses held for another 16- minutes until Lower Dauphin scored again.

Katelyn Economopoulos made it 2-0 at 22:07.

Less than a two-minutes later Payten Kirk  thanks to an Katie Estes assist scored at 23:33.

Deep into the second, MIfflin County’s Gabi Clark cut it to 3-1 off a Aubrey Strohecker assist at 73:00.

Justyce Hollenbeck put the game out of reach as she scored on a penalty kick at 77:19.

Lower Dauphin outshot Mifflin County 20-8 and held the advantage in corner opportunities 5-1.

Mifflin County goalie Maddison Finkenbiner had 16 saves while Lower Dauphins Anna Duncan had seven.

MC is 1-7-1 in Mid-Penn play while 5-9-1 overall.

Mifflin County’s next game is 10/10@ Mechanicsburg.
