Mifflin County basketball round up for Jan. 18th

Mifflin County got nine points from Mya Aumiller but it wasn’t enough to top a very tough Harrisburg team Friday night, falling 62-31.

In a very defensive first quarter, the Cougars barely outscored the Huskies 6-4.

But Harrisburg caught fire in the second pouring in 27 points while the Huskies were limited to eight.

In the third quarter, Harrisburg continued to extend its lead, outscoring Mifflin County 16-11.

In the final stanza, the Cougars never let up scoring 13 to Mifflin County’s eight.

Boys basketball

The Mifflin County boys also suffered a loss to Harrisburg Friday night, falling to the Cougars 87-29.

Leading the scoring for the Huskies was Noah Wright with 11.
