Mifflin County tops Chambersburg in girls action

The Mifflin County girls basketball picked up a Tuesday night victory against Chambersburg 57-35.

Leading the scoring for the Lady Huskies were Molly Wagoner with a 16-point effort while teammates Hannah Aumiller and Brianna Bodtorf with nine.

Mifflin County got hot early breaking out to a 19-4 first period.

Leading the scoring the MC was Bodtorf with six points. 

In the second, Mifflin County’s offense continued to shine as it posted a 17-7 advantage, upping the “Purple and Black Attack’s lead to 36-11 first half advantage.

Leading the offensive attack in the second was Wagoner with six.

It was much of the same in the third quarter as Mifflin County scores in double-figures again, posting a 16-9 edge.

In the final stanza, Chambersburg was able to outscore Mifflin County 15-5 but it was too little too late as the Huskies rolled to the victory.
