Mount Union breaks out bats in 9-1 win over West Branch

The Mount Union baseball team got back to its winning ways Tuesday, defeating West Branch 9-1.

It would be a game where West Branch scored first and held the 1-0 advantage until the top of the third.

From there, the Trojans scored three in the third, two in the fifth, three in the sixth and one in the seventh en route to the victory.

Mount Union finished with 12 hits while its offense held West Branch to just three hits.

Five Trojan batters finished with multiple hitters. They were; Matt Harshbarger (2-for-4), Dylan Gearhart (2-for-3), Kobe Hand (2-for-5), Ethan Carbaugh (2-for-3) and Quintenn Fultz (2-for-3).

Picking up the win for the Trojans was Seth Smith.
