Red Raiders take down Golden Eagles

Bellefonte 15, Tyrone 6
Despite falling behind early on against visiting Tyrone, the Bellefonte softball team got their bats going and outscored the Golden Eagles 11-2 in the final three innings to take home the 15-6 victory in a snow laden contest.
Lexi Rogers picked up the win for the Lady Raiders.
Rogers went the distance and faced 27 batters, allowing six runs on eight hits, striking out nine and walking eight.
Bellefonte got Multi-hit games from  Mallorie Smith who had a single and double.
Teammate Alexis Wetzler roped three singles while Hanna Lauck tallied a single and triple.
Taylor Kerr shined bright blasting two singles and a home run.
Tyrone opened the scoring in the top of the first, only to have the Lady Raiders battle back to take the lead in the second, scoring two.
But the Golden Eagles we’re flying high in the third, plastering three and taking the lead at 4-2.
But Bellefonte outscored Tyrone 8-2 in the fourth and fifth innings, making it 10-6.
From there, the Bellefonte offense rallied for five more runs en route to the 9-run victory.
Bellefonte finished the game pounding out 14 hits while its defense allowed only one multi-hit player.
