St. Joseph’s Carter Kauffman and Josh Hershbine run to titles

Carter Kauffman stayed undefeated in the 800 as he broke the tape in 2:04.62. His teammate, Jonah Clark, won a tight battle to earn second in 2:09.61. Josh Hershbine gapped the field early to win the 3200 in 10:35.71. His teammated Isaac Hymna finished 7th in 11:55.85. Carter, Josh, and Jonah joined Aidan Cross to run a season’s best in the 4×8 of 8:41.64, which was good enough for second place. Asa Reynolds added a fifth place in the 1600 with a time of 5:07.10. The boys team finished 7th overall.

Sera Mazza sets meet record; Clare Marsh runs win streak to 5

The girls team finised fourth in the standings behind several strong performances. Sera Mazza set the meet record in the 1600 with a time of 5:18.06, while Kate Youngmark added a 4th place finish (5:39.86). Clare Marsh won her fifth 300m Hurdles race in a row with a time of 47.36. Clare and Sera, combined with Julia Cusatis, and Myah Chappell to finish second in the 4×400 (4:15.42). Kathleen Simander ran 2:21.55 for runner-up honors in the 800, while Kate added a 7th place finish (2:36.47).  Izzy Warren won the triple jump (34-1) and finished second in the long jump (15-4.5). Mallory McCauley added a sixth place in the triple jump (29-4.5). The girls 4×8 relay of Riley Marflak, Julia, Myah, and Kathleen ran 10:28.04 for second place.  Myah finished 4th in the 400m (1:04.38) to close out our scoring.
