The SC Dynasty continues to shine; State girls volleyball takes another D6 title

TYRONE – In a backyard rivalry held at Tyrone the State College Girls Volleyball made quick work of rival Altoona in straight sets (25-14, 25-11, 25-16).

To the victors goes the spoils as the Little Lady Lions took home yet another District 6 trophy.

According to State College’s volleyball site, Kate Lachendro paced the team with 2 service aces and 9 kills. Kacy Sekunda finished with 9 kills, dished out 11 assists and picked up 6 digs. Claire Jordan had 2 blocks. Sarah Neely dished out 13 assists. Ariana Angus and Jacqui Gordon each picked up 5 digs. The first round of the State Tournament will take place Tuesday, November 5th with the time and place TBD.

The group will be looking to pick up another state championship in its legendary program.
